These are scenes from two trips on successive days, the first including Fresno (picture 3) and the second south past Castlerock (picture 1 - I know it is out of order) to see one of the wonders of Colorado, the mountain discovered by Lt Zebulon Pike on his extraordinary expedition in 1806. He never reached the summit, but we did! Of course, we did it by cog railway installed many years later. It was March when we went, but on the top there was snow - in fact, we had to wait for a snow plow engine to clear the way (pictrures 17-20).
