The Travelers
Here you see the sextet of travelers in our party, our guide, and the total tour group (obligatory group picture at the end!). Photo 1, from the left: Bob and Jean Bauer, our wonderful neighbors who found this trip; Bob's niece Margie and her friend Janice, both from Texas. Number 6 has our very competent and personable guide, Elston Valentin, chatting with Bob outside the National Museum. In 7 we are with Christine, a woman from Brazil whom we met at the airport on arrival, part of another tour that paralleled ours; we encountered her often and enjoyed her company. Photos 7-10 were taken at the final banquet on the last night of the tour. Our own little group was a very compatible and fun group to travel with. We are certainly indebted to each of them for making our trip such a joy! And we must add that the entire group, some forty more people, were really very pleasant, fun-loving travelers, whose enthusiasm and positive thinking kept the trip always "up."
