These photos show some of the treasures in the Louvre. Cameras were forbidden in the paintings galeries, so we didn't get photos of "Mona Lisa" or of Vermeer's "Lace Maker," or any of the hundreds of others we saw. The photos below are (1) Winged Victory of Samothrace, (2) Venus de Milo, (5-7) living quarters of Napolean III (this was, after all, his palace), (8) The Hammurabic laws, and (9) a statue of Ramses II.
