Here are pictures of some of the many churches in San Miguel. The first is the "Parroqia," or parish church, which can be seen from many parts of the city as it sits high above most of it. Picture number 1 was taken from near our hotel on our way up to the cetntral square, on which it stands. Number 2 shows the left side of the massive entrance facade, a later addition because of the importance of the church. The church in numbers 14, 15, and 16 are in another little town nearby. Number 19 is the church in Dolores Hidalgo, where the revolutionary priest Miguel Hidalgo officiated. The church in the last picture is, of course, out in the countryside.
