Doors and Countryside

Most of the buildings, whether residences or otherwise, were built around a central courtyard, and most had substantial wooden doors to the street. Many were carved and/or colorfully decorated. I have included here also scenes from the coutryside, the high desert where grew enormous cactus. The leaves of the type shown in number nine were skinned and used as a vegetable - not much taste unless you add salsa or other sauce, but apprently nutritious. Number 12 is actually at a warm spring spa out in the country, beautifully lanscaped and with a couple of large pools, lawns and restaurant.
